Dudu lift team in Europa league

Nigeria bron forward, Mcphelin Dudu Omagbemi aided his team, FC Honka to a 2-0 away victory in the Estonian over JK Nõmme Kaljusta.
Dudu Omagbei scored his team’s second goal to take the game beyond host, JK Nomme.
Dudu have scored 6 goals in the league for Honka.

Hamburg extend marculey’s contract

The Contract of Ex-Nigeria youth international, Macaulay Christantus has been extended by his Germany team, Hamburg.
The 2007 FIFA U-17 World cup hotshot who has been on loan with Karlsruher SC will now stay on at the top division team till summer of 2013, his initial contract end 2012.
Marculay whose international future has suffered a lot will be loaned out to a second division outfit, FSV Frankfurt  at least for next season, this was reported on Hamburg website.

Dutch eredivisie play off: Musa power Venlo to safety

Super eagles whizkid, Ahmed Musa have helped his team, VVV Venlo retain its eredivisie status in Holland after he scored the equalizer in the 2-2 home draw with FC Zwolle in the final game of the play off.

The Former JUTH FC and Kano Pillars player scored the goal that powered his team to safety in 87th minutes.

Online with National LIFE sport form his base after the match, the elated Musa said he thank God that made it possible for him to do well and make his team remain in the top flight, he however promise to hit eagles camp tomorrow.

He said "I am happy with myself and my teammates, we really deserve to remain in top level here, we left it so late but now I thank God we were able to retain our position in the top league. I will be in Nigeria tomorrow ahead of our game with Argentina"

MUSA GIVES VENLO WIN IN PLAY OFF

The hope of VVV Venlo to remain in the top flight of Dutch football was brightened when its Nigeria import, Ahmed Musa score the winner for them in a play off match against Volendam.

The Former JUTH FC and Kano pillars winger score the winner in 90th minute of the encounter after his previous efforts were saved by goalie.

Dudu goes on top in Finland

Former U-23 international, McPhelin Dudud Omagbemi has scored his third goal in the 5 weeks old Finland Veikkauliga 2011.
Dudu scored 10 goals last term and his joint top scorer in the league now with three goals.
He scored the 3rd goal whne he struck in 13th minutes in 2-2 away draw with Haka Valkeakoski.

Another Nigerian, Dickson Nwakaeme scored is 2nd goal of the season in his team, KuPS kuopio2-1 win over IFK Marienhamm.

Adefemi’s fiancée laud Xanthi

Folashade Adeshina, the Fiancée of Late Nigeria International, Adefemi Olubayo has applaud his Greek club, Skoda Xanthi for according his late Fiancé respect even in death.

She said she appreciate all that they have done for him and this make her more happy that he meant a lot to them and she believe Olubayo will be happy in death.

In a chat with Kasaloy sport, Folashade Adesina reacting to the friendly match organized in his honour by Greek club to raise money to help his family and as well erect a monument in his remembrance and above al retire the jersey number 13 he wore while playing for the team before he met his death in auto crash.

She said “I am indeed very grateful to the club for the honour they gave to him. I am overwhelmed by their actions, it means they appreciate his job over there to have done al these for himand I am very sure Olu (bayo) will be happy where he is now. I thank them for this gesture accord him. May God bless them”

Kelechi Okoye backs in India premier league


Former Heartland FC and JUTH FC midfielder, kelechi Okoye and his team mates at Shillong Lajong in Indian second division league has return to the India I league for the second time running after going down last season.
After making it to the I-League for the second time, Shillong Lajong were on Cloud 9, a happening nightclub in a posh hotel in Shillong all to unwind.

Okoye said “This is a good time for us here, we have gotten promotion back to the elite division, we want to be at the top and we are back for good, we went to club to celebrate and ease out the tension. It was not easy but having gone this far we have to thank God, I a looking forward to new season in I League”

XANTHI RETIRED ADEFEMI'S JERSEY





Skoda Xanthi of Greece have retired the number 13 jersey wore by Late Nigeria International, Adefemi Olubayo (Oloumpagio Antefemi) as a mark of honour for the slain star.

The Bolougne of France players died in an auto crash on Monday, April 18th on his way to airport in Greece to visit Nigeria to conclude preparation for his wedding.

The club which valued his deceased player played a friendly match against Aris FC in memory of Adefemi Olubayo, the final score was 2-1 in favour of Xanthi.

Ten euros was the gate-fee collected from spectators that attended the game, all the proceeds will be given to Adefemi's family.

Ukah return to Lodz first team


New Super Eagles on the block, Ugochukwu Ukah is back to the first team of Widzew Lodz, Poland after he was sent to reserve team by the board of the club for been convicted for drink driving.
The Former Parma FC of Italy center back rejoins his teammates ahead of the weekend match and the Italian born Nigeria could not hide his joy.
Speaking on phone from his base in Poland, Ukah said he is very happy to back in the team and will continue to do his best to better the team’s lot.

He said ''I returned to training with the main team yesterday (Thursday), I am very happy with this development. It was not a nice experience for me not to be with the main team, but the younger ones have learnt from me while I was there, some of them told me but I want to play with the main team and that will be the case now as I am back. I want to do well for the team as I was doing before the incident”

Former Heartland FC and JUTH FC of Jos left wing wizard, Kelechi Okoye has set his eyes on winning a second trophy since he joinedShillong Lajong in India league has he and his mates will step out against Pune FC on March 26th, 2011 which is the quarter final of IFA Shield.

IFA league is a big competition in India that I-league was put on hold for it to take place.

He said “We have played 3 games, won 1 against Chirag United, and drew 2 against Mohun Bagan and Aria. We need not to lose our game with Pune FC Saturday. I will try to score my first goal in the competition. I am dreaming of winning the trophy to add to theMeghalaya Champions league that I won early this year”.

KEHINDE FATAI BACK IN ACTION IN ROMANIA

Astra Ploiesti of Romania and Nigeria Ex-Youth International, Kehinde Fatai has return to training with his team after been sideline since November 2010.

The Former JUTH FC of Jos striker who is still his team's leading scorer in Romania Premier league said he is happy that he is training with the team after a long lay off and cannot wait to return.

He said "I am happy that I am back with the entire team now, I have been training on my own for sometimes but I am training with the team now, I am getting back to full fitness, I hope to feature in our game in two weeks time. It was not easy while the injury lasted. I thank God for his mercies over me"

EZEKIEL BALA JOINS RANDABERG

Former Nigeria youth International, Ezekiel Bala has joined another Norwegian team, Randaberg FK after his contract at former team, Bryne FK was terminated.

The Canada 2007 player who has been in search of the team since summer told SoccerStar correspondent exclusively from Norway that he has joined Randaberg FK.

He said “I have joined a new team here, Randaberg FK. It is a first division team. I will do my best for the team. I am happy and I will concentrate on doing well for the team. I signed a 2 years deal”

GANI OSENI EYES PROMOTION IN VIETNAM, WANT U-23 CALL UP

Former Nigeria Cadet International, Ganiyu Bolaji Oseni has set his eyes on winning promotion with his team, Nguyen Hoang Kien Giang, a division 1 side in Vietnam.
The Former CSKA Moscow of Russia striker said he joined the team for a mission which is to win the promotion to the premier league division for the Vietnam team which gains promotion form division 2 last season

The Korea 2007 U-17 Gold medalist joined the team on 8 months loan deals which terminate at the end of the season said his mission is to help the team do well in division 1 and advance to premier league, he also want the Vietnam team to be a stepping stone to his return to European football.
He said “I am in Vietnam for a mission and that is to help my team gain promotion to the premier league, I had offers but it is not about money everytime, I signed 8 month loan deal here and after which I hope to move to the Europe"
He also hope to get U-23 team call up.
He said "I have played for National team before, I still want to wear the green and white jersey, I will be glad if I get U-23 team call up"

Super Eagles returnee, Adefemi Olubayo has express his joy and happiness over his return to the National team.

He said he is very happy to return, though he always see himself as part of the team despite not getting call up. He however said he is back for good and to stay.

The Xanthi defender said Eagles will beat Ethiopia to take over the leadership of the group.

He said "The game against Ethiopia is a crucial one, we need to win that match to go a top. It is a must win game and that is what we will play for, that game mean a lot to us in our quest to be at next nations cup"

ELOH EYES VIETNAM LEAGUE SHIELD

Nigeria Born Da nang Central defence ace, Emmanuel Eloh has expressed his desire to win the Vietnam V league this season having start the season on a sound footing.
Da Nang is currently placed second in three weeks old league.

AHMED MUSA SCORE FIRST GOAL FOR VENLO

Super eagles and VVV Venlo of Holland striker, Ahmed Musa has ended his goal drought at his Eredevisie team when he struck in the 37th minutes in VVV Venlo 1-6 lost to AZ Alkmaar.

Ahmed Musa who has featured for his team regularly since joining the team from kano Pillars. has find it difficult to find the back of the net but broke that jinx weekend with a spectacular goal, he express his happiness for scoring but felt sad the team lost the game scandalously.

The Former JUTH FC of Jos player said "I am happy that I finally got my first goal for Venlo after a long wait. It is a great thing when striker score goals, but I would have been happier had it been we won the game because we were 3 goals down when I scored that gal, I taught we will fight back but that was not the case, I will keep striving hard to get more goals especially those that will win games for us"

YAKUBU SCORES ON DEBUT

Out of favour Super eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has open his goal scoring account in his debut game for Leicester City on Saturday in the 1-1 away draw with Preston North end.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni who has been relegated to the bench at Everton was loaned to the championship side and has taken the bull by the horn scoring in 60th minutes to give Leicester the lead before Iain Hume spoilt the show with a 90th minute equaliser.
